Northern Colorado AIDS Project

The Northern Colorado AIDS Project‘s mission is to improve the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS and to help reduce the spread and stigma of the disease. Southern Colorado AIDS Project (SCAP)

 SCAP maintains offices in Colorado Springs and Pueblo Colorado. Today, the organization provides HIV specific programs and services in a 25 county area of southern Colorado The 43,065 square mile service area includes the counties of: Alamosa, Baca, Bent, Chaffee, Cheyenne, Conejos, Costilla, Crowley, Custer, El Paso, Elbert, Fremont, Huerfano, Kiowa, Kit Carson, Las Animas, Lincoln, Mineral, Otero, Park, Powers, Pueblo, Rio Grande, Saguache and Teller.

The Empowerment Program

The Mission of the Empowerment Program is to provide education, employment assistance, health, housing referrals and support services to women who are in disadvantaged positions due to incarceration, poverty, homelessness, HIV/AIDS infection or involvement in the criminal justice system.  Our goal is to decrease rates of recidivism by providing care management, support services, basic skills education, housing and resource coordination that can offer viable alternatives to habits and choices that may lead to criminal behaviors.

Servicios de La Raza – La Gente Program

The La Gente Program at Servicios de La Raza serves a wide cross-section of the Latino population living with HIV/AIDS, including straight, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) men, women and youth.  La Gente is a bilingual HIV/AIDS services program specializing in providing client-centered services that assist HIV/AIDS infected individuals and their affected family members to gain access to health care, emotional support, and other resources and assistance that meet their needs.  La Gente utilizes unique approaches to care and support services in order to reach individuals living with HIV/AIDS, as well as the family and community that support them. The program offers intensive mental health counseling, medical case management and substance abuse services, medical transportation assistance, food bank, HIV/STD testing and screening services, client advocacy, a cohesive referral system to qualified providers, community outreach, and much more. The La Gente Program also conducts HIV/STD prevention & education classes to youth throughout the Denver Metropolitan Area.
